First you need to clean them thoroughly. Gut them, wash them, filet them or leave them whole.

If you can’t cook then the easiest thing to do is to make a fish pouch. Heat butter, lemon, parsley, dill, green onions and celery in a pan. Simmer until the flavors meld and add a 1/2 cup of tomato sauce. Cut out a foil sqaure that’s atleast 3 times as big as your fish. Cover the fish in the sauce, tightly seal the foil and cook in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.

    Baked Cod With Stuffing Instructions:

Stuffing: Mix all ingredients together well.
Should be able to form into a ball.
Stuff into cod immediately before baking.
Remove bone from whole cod (head, tail and fins removed).
Stuff interior of cod with savoury stuffing (see below).
Bind cod with twine to hold in stuffing, and top generously with salt pork fat back.
Bake cod with open side/salt pork up at 350 Degrees F for one hour or until salt pork is brown and crunchy.
That’s about it, you could sub in bacon for the salt pork, but it is good with the salt pork.
    Enjoy

The fish when cleaned and gutted can be cooked in lots of different ways.A very simple recipe for fillets is coat it in flour, in a large pan warm 3 or 4 tablespoons of olive oil (dont burn put on low heat) chop a couple of cloves of garlic and a teaspoon of fresh parsleyand put into the pan with the olive oil warm through and gently cook until the garlic starts to change colour add the fish and lightly cook you can add a glass of white wine and put a few chopped mushrooms turn the fish over dont let it dry out add a little more wine if needed should be cooked in 10 minutes . You can serve it wih creamy mashed potato and a seperate mixed salad.

You may find a lot of recipes on this page

    but I like this one:

    Moroccan Fish

    5 Garlic cloves, chopped
    2 tb Cumin
    2 tb Olive oil
    1 tb Pepper flakes, dried
    2 tb Cilantro, chopped
Juice of 1/2 lemon 1 lb Red snapper filets or other tipe of fish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix garlic, cumin, olive oil, pepper flakes, cilantro and lemon juice into a paste. Put the filets in a shallow baking dish and spread this paste over them. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 5 to 10 minutes (a little longer if the filets are thick). NOTES: * Spicy Moroccan fish — I got this recipe from a newspaper lying around a friend’s house. It is very spicy. It will burn your mouth off. Do not use on unsuspecting friends, unless you’re trying to get rid * You could substitute other types of fish.
